Dark desert campfire night evoking the band's atmosphere

New Album — Out Now

MATANGO!

Gothic country. Bushranger rock. Cowpunk. From the red dirt of Western Australia.

Sound & Fury from the West

Formed in Fremantle in 2003, The Kill Devil Hills have spent two decades dragging the ghost of the Australian frontier through folk, psych-blues, and hard punk. Their sound lands somewhere between a campfire sermon and a barroom brawl: raw, reverent, and restless.

Named after a chapter in Greil Marcus's Invisible Republic, the band has built one of Australian underground rock's most distinctive bodies of work. The Guardian named their fourth studio album In on Under near Water one of ten essential Australian underground releases.
